McGill ranked 25th in World Reputation Survey

The University of British Columbia made the top 25 universities in the world with the best reputation, according to the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings 2012. The results, based on a survey of the perceptions of over 17,000 academics from 137 countries, were released today. The top five universities in the world with the strongest reputations were: 1.Harvard University (100); 2.Massachusetts Institute of Technology (87.2);  3 University of Cambridge (80.7); 4. Stanford University (72.1);  5.University of California Berkeley (71.6). Three Canadian universities came in the top 25. The University of Toronto (20.0) led the way at number 16, with the University of British Columbia (11.8) tied with McGill University (11.8) for number 25.
