McGill Management International Case Competition

Published: 15 March 2008

A team of undergraduate student organizers from the Desautels Faculty of Management are in the final stages of preparation to host the 8th Annual McGill Management International Case Competition from March 25 to 29.

Delegations from 12 universities and 10 countries will converge in Montreal to take part in North America's leading case competition. Among the schools represented this year are last year's top three winners: National University of Singapore, Simon Fraser University and the University of Washington.

Teams will have 24 hours to solve and present a business case to a panel of judges and the general public, into the competition's prestigious top three ranking.

Visitors are welcome to attend the final presentations on Saturday, March 29, which are free of admission and which run at 40-minute intervals from 9h to 18h.

The winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremonies gala in Old Montreal.

MMICC is the largest student-run event to take place at the Faculty, with the attendance of 60 delegates, 25 organizers and 14 judges. The week-long events are spread across 10 unique venues in Montreal.

The competition is title-sponsored by HSBC Bank Canada. Freedom 55 Financial and Deloitte & Touche are among the 20 sponsors supporting the event.
