McGill BCom students take six podiums at the 2007 Jeux du Commerce

Desautels Faculty of Management BCom students took six top three finishes at the 19th edition of the Jeux du Commerce, held at the Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC Montréal) business school from January 5 to 8, 2007.

Over 1,200 students from 13 Eastern Canadian universities attended this inter-university competition. In addition to competitions that applied academic knowledge to real-life situations, there were opportunities to network with students from different universities, and connect with the business world. Sports and social competitions were also part of the event.

Great performances won six podium positions for the McGill students:

First place:
Debate: Debbie Asirvatham, Matthieu Beauchemin, Michelle Wu, Pierre Tarantelli

Second place:
Finance: Veronique Talbot, Michael O. Hudgin, Tracy Zhao

Third place:
International Business: Stephanie Denis, Amy Boyle, Maxime Rivet
Information Systems Management: Viet Le Quoc, Marissa Leung, Natalie Pan
Stock Simulation: Dominique Guay, Rabah Sadruddin, Myriam Luccisano, Vincenzo Mule
Accounting: Michael Carfagnini, Marie Anne He, Kevin Thibault
