Légalisation du cannabis: un appel à Québec pour qu’il assure la distribution

A call for Quebec to get into pot distribution by academics and business people

A cross-section of Quebec academics and organizations is calling on the provincial government to step up and take charge of recreational marijuana distribution as Ottawa moves closer to its goal of a legalised and regulated business model. The signatories, including Faculty Lecturer Kenneth Lester of the Desautels Faculty of Management, suggest that the State take on the responsibility in order to keep organized crime in check, as well as to focus on prevention and on the public-health side.

The signatories are also calling for a consultation process to study how a public distribution system would work best.
