Doing Good Business: McGill Hosts Conference on Sustainability

The 2009 conference will feature keynote speakers Steven Guilbeault, co-founder of the NGO Equiterre and former spokesman of Greenpeace Quebec, and Robert Weese, VP Government for GE Canada.

The opening session, Thursday, Jan. 29, 5:30pm – 7:00pm at Chancellor Day Hall, 3644 Peel Street, Moot Court Room, will include an introduction by Dean Peter Todd, Desautels Faculty of Management, followed by a keynote address from Mr. Guilbeault.  Mr Guilbeault will discuss his views on the future of sustainable business in Quebec. 

On Friday, Jan. 30, 5:30pm – 7:00 pm in the Frank Dawson Adams Auditorium, 3450 University Street, Mr. Weese will provide a keynote address on sustainability in the engineering and manufacturing business.

The conference is open to McGill students and to inter-university delegates. Admission to each address costs $5.

The conference is hosted by McGill University and the Desautels Faculty of Management and organized by a student-run committee with funding from the Hantho Family Fund.
