Integrated Management
The integrated management approach
Whether one considers the relationships between different functional areas inside an organization or the relationships between an organization and its external stakeholders, there is a growing need for managers who can articulate and reconcile issues from multiple perspectives. To develop these managers, the Desautels Faculty of Management encourages and fosters an integrated management through the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management.
About us
The aim of the MDIIM's Health Initiative is to develop a framework to unify the relevant health activities within the Desautels Faculty of Management. While there are great strides being made in the field of health within the Faculty, there is a lack of integration among our areas. The goal is to provide an infrastructure that can serve as an integrative and unifying body of health-related projects. This will create new teaching, outreach and research opportunities that are based on the collaboration of faculty members from different disciplines.
Student Associates Program
Student involvement is vital to achieving the MDIIM’s mandate. The MDIIM is therefore looking to appoint its first cohort of Student Associates for a one year term (2012 – 2013) to integrate Desautels students into the process of scoping, designing and implementing innovative teaching, research and outreach initiatives.
MDIIM Events

In addition to its work promoting integrated teaching and research programs at the Desautels Faculty of Management, the MDIIM also organizes regular outreach events for students and the general public.
