Each year, over 100 firms come on campus to recruit students for specific career opportunities. These opportunities can be for summer or permanent employment after graduation.

Am I eligible for the PhD program?
If you hold an undergraduate and a Masters degree, with a strong academic record from recognized universities, you are eligible to apply for PhD studies.
The CDS is a series of workshops, guest speaker visits and company presentations held throughout the year to help students validate their interests and find the best career fit. Each month, a different industry is presented in order to respond to the varying needs and interests of the student population. Discover the many different career paths in a variety of industries including entrepreneurship, consulting, manufacturing, entertainment, retail, finance, telecommunications, etc.
- Any official McGill email sent to students will be addressed to the McGill email address.
Completed applications and all supporting documents are to be uploaded by no later than January 15th for Fall (September) admission of the same calendar year in which admission is sought. This deadline is for all applicants (Canada and International). There is no January (Winter) or June-July (Summer) admission.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the application form and all supporting documents are uploaded by the application deadline.
The PhD Program in Management administers several doctoral level fellowships/awards. Candidates that have been accepted and have registered in the doctoral program are eligible to apply for them. These fellowships/awards are advertised in the Fall and Winter terms by the PhD Program Office. The value of these fellowships/awards vary from year to year.
The McGill PhD in Management aims to attract individuals who possess a strong academic background, personal initiative, and the potential to become excellent researchers. Applicants are assessed according to their past academic record, evaluations by former professors or supervisors, performance on standard graduate examinations, relevant work experience and the fit between their interests and the Faculty's focus and objectives.
Before entering the program, students must select an area of specialization from one of the following or from a combination thereof:
If you are an international student, the PhD Program will pay the international portion of your university tuition fees for the four semesters of minimum residency (or up to a maximum of six semesters), worth approximately $12,000 CAD per year (based on 2014/2015 tuition fees and subject to change). Students are responsible for the Quebec rate of the tuition fees, which is approximately $3,900 CAD per year (based on 2014/2015 tuition fees and subject to change). Please note that medical/dental insurance is additional, as well as student services.
