Students from McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management will travel to South Africa this month to visit companies, speak with business leaders – and use social media to raise funds for educating children in the disadvantaged townships of Port Elizabeth.

Desautels Faculty of Management BCom students took six top 3 podiums at the 24th edition of the Jeux du Commerce, hosted by Laval University in Quebec City from January 5 to 8, 2012.
This year, five CA candidates from Quebec earned a place on the UFE Honour Roll of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, which recognizes the highest standings in Canada on the UFE. Three of the five are from the Desautels Faculty of Management.
39 graduates of the Desautels Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy Program successfully passed the 2011 Uniform Evaluation (UFE). Matthew Cote (BCom’10, GDPA’11), Isabelle Giguère (BCom’10, GDPA’11) and Melanie Wiseblatt (BCom’10, GDPA’11) all made the Canadian Honour Roll.
