Bombardier's new CEO is expected to be on the hot seat next week as he meets for the first time with shareholders who are clamouring for a turnaround plan after enduring a rough year by the struggling transportation giant. After just six weeks on the job, Alain Bellemare is unlikely to be blamed for the company's poor financial performance, which drove its shares down 45 per cent in the past year and 66 per cent since 2011.
Two student-athletes from McGill University -- basketball star Mariam Sylla and hockey player Cedric McNicoll -- were initiated as honourary Calgarians on Sunday. The dynamic duo are representing the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec among eight national finalists for the 23rd annual BLG Awards.

Today, Sonberg is executive in residence/ adjunct professor at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management.
On March 3rd, 2015, Professor Steve Maguire, Director of the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM), and Professor of Strategy & Organization in the Desautels Faculty of Management, presented as an invited lecturer at UCLA’s Global Business and Policy Forum.
