Whether you are coming back to Career Management as an Alumni or an Employer, there are many contributions that you can make to share knowledge, experience and information that helps current students to prepare for their careers. Below are just some of the ways you can help.

Participate in mock interviews

Come on campus and help students prepare for their interviews. By participating in mock interviews, you are giving students an opportunity to hone their interviewing skills and be better prepared.

Be a Panelist or Guest Speaker

By holding career, industry or job search related presentations, you can share your knowledge and experience with Management students. This is a great way to increase awareness of your organization as well as meet and get to know the talent at the Desautels Faculty of Management.

Suggested topics for workshops and presentations include:

  • In-depth presentations of your industry
  • Market and Industry Trends
  • Networking Techniques
  • Interviewing Techniques

Become a Mentor

The MBA and BCom Mentoring Programs at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University serve, fundamentally, to build a strong and vibrant community of professionals engaged with the Faculty in furthering and supporting careers of its graduates.

MBA
With the support of the Career Management team, the MBA Mentoring Program provides networking opportunities, learning events and dedicated one-on-one mentor relationships. This framework and structure allow many of its students to engage in significant dialogue with mid-high level executives in an effort to lessen the gap between academic learning and favorable shift to the workplace.
