A Message from the Dean
The Desautels Faculty of Management has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past several years. With the unprecedented support of friends and alumni from around the world, and two very generous gifts from Dr. Marcel Desautels, we have been able to hire additional professors, reinvent our curriculum and renovate our facilities.
We have renewed our commitment to provide the best teaching, and continue to support the most innovative research in management. Since 2005, we have hired twenty outstanding new professors and researchers from around the globe, each of them leaders in their field. We look forward to adding ten more world-class experts to our faculty this year.
We have dramatically reworked our curriculum and brought in innovative new programs that push the boundaries of business education. One of our greatest accomplishments this year is an integrated core for MBA students, which dissolves the boundaries between traditional business disciplines. This novel approach is one of the first initiatives to fully integrate teaching, research and practical experience into student learning. Other exciting initiatives include a new bilingual Executive MBA, offered jointly with HEC Montreal, and a cutting-edge International Masters for Health Leadership led by world-renowned management expert Henry Mintzberg.
The facilities have been renovated, including a completely new concourse area and new state-of-the-art classrooms and computer labs for undergraduate students. We have also opened a brand new MBA facility located in the recently launched Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management.
Our career services continue to be enhanced with newly dedicated staff for both masters and undergraduate students. From the moment they enter our programs, students are assisted with career development, internships, job-searching strategies and employment opportunities. Our goal is to have every graduating student leave us with a well-defined and fulfilling career.
It is profoundly rewarding to work each day with the outstanding professors, students, staff and alumni whose world-class talent and unparalleled enthusiasm have made the Desautels Faculty of Management the highly respected institution it is today.
