The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) may be required of anyone whose undergraduate studies were not in English. Satisfactory performance of these tests is essential before a decision on acceptance by the GSRC can be made.
IELTS or TOEFL scores may only be sent electronically to McGill University. Official hardcopies will be rejected. If your education was done in English, your university will have to provide a statement on letterhead, signed and dated. A scanned copy of the letter has to be sent to the maria [dot] palumbo2 [at] mcgill [dot] ca (Graduate Program Coordinator). The letter will then be sent to Enrolment Services for approval. If accepted, the test score requirement will be removed from the applicant’s checklist, Enrolment Services will upload the letter manually and it will appear as a supplemental document.
