Sacha joined the PARENTING MATTERS! research team at the CRCF in April 2009. She is currently working on a systematic review of observational studies of parenting children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD) as well as a multi-method clinical study of parenting children with NDD. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Social Work. Her dissertation research is focused on the experience of hope by parents of children with NDD. Prior to pursuing graduate school in social work, Sacha worked as an educator at the West Montreal Readaptation Center, where she worked with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community and work integration settings. Her practice experience also includes working with families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders at multiple stages of the service continuum. Her research and clinical interests include: the quality of life of parents and children with developmental disabilities, parenting, hope and resilience, and access to services.
