I have been a research assistant and student at the Centre for Research on Children and Families since 2014. At the centre, I have had the fortune of being involved with the research fellowship, Building research capacity with First Nations and mainstream youth protection services in Quebec (BRC). Through this fellowship I have become involved in many projects including the Neglect Project Implementation, and a clinical integration group for conjugal violence, both with Batshaw Youth and Family Centres. I have also had the opportunity to train on using data from the 2008 Canadian Incidence Study of Reported Abuse and Neglect (CIS-2008). I am currently in the fourth year of the Ph.D. program at the McGill School of Social Work. My research focuses on working with couples in the context of substance use disorders, and considering the role of attachment, mentalization and self-regulation.
