Elizabeth is currently completing a Ph.D. in Social Work at McGill University at the Centre for Research on Children and Families. Her research interests focus on vulnerable youth, including youth involved in the child welfare system and urban Indigenous youth. Elizabeth`s dissertation research explored the role of culture in the identity formation among urban Indigenous youth living in Montreal.
Elizabeth has recently been chosen as a post-doctoral fellow for the Building research capacity with First Nations and mainstream youth protection services in Quebec (BRC) initiative and will be starting her fellowship in the spring of 2014. She will be under the co-direction of Martin Goyette, Canada Research Chair on policy impacting vulnerable youth at the École Nationale d`Administration Publique and Nico Trocmé, the Director of the Centre for Research on Chidlren and Families at McGill University.
