Professional Development Certificate in Management Consulting
The Management Consulting industry continues to grow consistently regardless of economic uncertainty. Many professionals who have gained significant experience and subject matter knowledge are offering their services as consultants to private, public and not-for profit sectors. These consultants provide advice, assistance and support to other organizations or individuals on management issues to help them improve their performance.
The emphasis of this Professional Development Certificate in Management Consulting is placed on the following subjects: the consulting process, consulting methodologies and tools, the ethics of professional practice, project management, sustainable change, and interpersonal skills. The content of this program is aligned with the competency requirements of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC-Canada) (http://www.cmc-canada.ca) and is pending CMC approval to fulfill the educational requirements for Certified Management Consultant (CMC) professional designation.
Who Should Attend
Experienced professionals who wish to pursue a career either as independent consultants or within a major consulting firm.
The Program is offered in English and consists of the following five required courses:
- Fundamentals of Management Consulting (Winter 2015)
- Leading Sustainable Change (2015)
- Professional Ethics in Management and Consulting (2015)
- Project Management in Practice (2015)
- Interpersonal Skills for Professionals (October, November 2014)
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, plus minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
