Adhesive Bonding Technical Workshop
This modular course is based on the Adhesive Bonder syllabus developed through the European Welding Federation.
These focused workshops will help participants to understand the underlying science and technology within the broad field of adhesives and provide an opportunity to exploit the benefits of this versatile technology. Newcomers to the field will gain a sound knowledge of the area and practical hands-on experience.

Practical Workshop
Date: 5-6 December 2013

Duration: 2 days (14 hours)

Fee: $1,350 CAD plus applicable taxes
Objectives
- Acquire fundamental and applied knowledge of adhesive technology
- Opportunity to use dissimilar material combinations for innovative manufacturing
- Establishing applied expertise grounded in theory
- Understand the importance of adhesive selection and joint design for long term service performance
- Provide the opportunity to discuss specific applications or adhesion problems with TWI experts
Topics Covered
Polymers, adhesives and adhesions (I,II), surface treatment (general and specific), design and fabrication, quality control, testing (destructive and NDT), dispensing, joint assembly, adhesive curing, durability, health and safety, adhesive applications.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellation & substitution requests must be made in writing. The following Cancellation Policy applies:
Up to 14 days prior to the start date: Full refund
7 days prior to the start date: Refund minus $100 Cancellation fee
Within 7 days of the start date: No Refund, however suitable participation substitution will be permitted
If no notice is given prior to the start of the event(s) and you fail to attend, you will be liable for the full course fee.
McGill SCS reserves the right to cancel an event up to 5 days prior to its start.
