Buzz is an independent consultant, an Issues Management specialist of broad experience in business & public policy analysis, corporate reputation/brand measurement, media/communications/PR analysis & trend monitoring. He is also a consultant/advisor to McGill’s SCS (PR/Marketing programs).

In 2006, after a lengthy tenure with Bell Canada he joined Decima Research as Vice President in Public Affairs & Corporate Reputation.

From 1987 to 1996 he steered BCE/Bell’s Issues Management and Policy Formation activities on a broad range of issues. In 1997 he became Director-Corporate Communications Planning & Strategy. From 1998 to 2005 he was Director-BCE/Bell Corporate Research directing all research on corporate issues from reputation/brand/media, competitive intelligence to the regulatory/political domain and public/social policy issues. He was also a long-standing member of the Crisis Communications Team.

Prior to joining theBCE/Bell corporate family, Buzz was a Senior Analyst with Canadian Trend Report (CTR) specializing in trend and policy analysis in several fields including the environment, transportation and employment and labour fields.

Founded by Kristan Shannon ("The Next Canadian Economy") and John Nesbitt ("Mega Trends"), CTR provided trend forecasting and policy guidance for many blue-chip Canadian & U.S. firms as well as several Provincial Governments & Federal Government Departments including the PMO and PCO.

Before joining the CTR team, Buzz was a Research Associate in McGill University’s Faculty of Education, Division of Educational Leadership.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the U. of Montreal and a M.Ed. (Administration and Policy Studies) from McGill. He has been active in issue scanning and trend forecasting groups such as the STEP program by Weiner, Edrich, Brown, Inc. of New York, Global Business Futures and is a former member of the Americas Advisory Board of Global Asset Management. Buzz is married and the proud father of two daughters.
