Career and Professional Development
Jean-Louis Castonguay has been a lecturer in the Industrial Relations field at the Desautels Faculty of Management since 2001. His expertise relates to unionized multi-disciplinary industries. He annually lectures in the Master in Manufacturing Management (MMM) program. He has also taught Collective Bargaining and Collective Bargaining in Theory and Practice (2004) and Occupational Health and Safety (2006). He currently lectures in Managing Occupational Health and Safety at the Diploma level and Workplace Health and Safety at the Certificate level. Jean-Louis Castonguay has been a Certified Industrial Relations Counsellor (CIRC) since 1982, and is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en relations humaines agréés. Since 1992, he has been a Volunteer Adviser with Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO). He served as a member of the Board for seven years, and was named Honorary Life Member of CESO in 2007. He is now President of the Montréal CESO Club.
