Biography

Grant Brown teaches mathematics and mathematics-related courses at McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies.

Brown spent much of his career as a mathematics teacher at Dawson College, serving as department chair, head of the science programme, head of both the honours and remedial science programmes, and chair of Senate and Academic Dean. As Academic Dean, Grant was responsible for staffing, budgets, and policy for the Registrar's Office and all academic and technical programmes. He also served as a member of the Board of Governors and its Executive Committee. He also served for seven years as a member of the Minister's Advisory Board on English Education (Commission de l'éducation en langue anglaise) under four ministers.

He's been the recipient of teaching awards from Dawson College (1995) and McGill University (2010).
