Biography

Frédéric Boisrond is a sociologist and holds an MBA.His firm, Solutions Feedback Active, provides services in governance management, restructuring, mentoring and strategic planning. He has expertise in developing business strategies for not-for-profit organizations, and has worked in Haiti, China, the United States, Guinea, Mexico, Spain, France and Nicaragua.

Boisrond spent 18 years at the Montreal YMCA, during which he served as Executive Director of community centers in Notre-Dame-De-Grace and Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. In 2000 he returned to his home country to implement the YMCA in Haiti. In 2015, the YMCA of Haiti was ranked by The Huffington Post as one of the top 10 most effective national and international organizations since the earthquake.

In 2006, Boisrond managed the restructuring of the Montreal Association for the Intellectually Handicapped. In 2008 he completed the implementation of the NGO Action against Hunger Canada. He led, among others, Radio Centre-Ville, the Comité d’adaptation de la main-d’oeuvre pour personnes immigrantes, and the Regroupement des Associations PANDA du Québec. He served on the Board of Directors of La Dauphinelle, a shelter for women that are victims of violence, chaired the Board of the Centre Action bénévole St-Laurent, and was part of the team that repositioned the Centres jeunesse de Montreal.

Boisrond has been published in La Presse and Le Devoir, and he author of the book Au nom du peuple et du Fric et du sain d’esprit.
