Client Services

New Continuing Studies students will want to familiarize themselves with Client Services, a one-stop shop for services relating to admissions, student accounts, records, registration, advising, graduation and general information about studying at the School of Continuing Studies.

Your Admission

Your letter of admission contains important information and instructions. Please read it carefully. If you have any questions or concerns about your admission, please contact Client Services.

The offer of admission is valid for one academic year beginning with the session of admission. If you do not enrol in courses during that one-year period, you will be required to re-apply.

To simplify course registration, your offer of admission is accepted automatically on your behalf and your student record created. This grants you access to register for courses on Minerva, McGill’s student information system. If you wish to decline our offer of admission, please contact Client Services by admissions [dot] conted [at] mcgill [dot] ca (email )to inform us of your decision.

Advanced Standing

Advanced standing in a program is processed at the time of admission at the written request of the student and is granted based on the documents submitted with the admission application. You may still apply for advanced standing after admission. Advanced standing will only be granted for equivalent credit courses taken within the last five years at the appropriate level. Official grades and grading information must be provided by the issuing university or educational institution. For further information, see Advanced Standing.

Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook
