Association for Operations Management

APICS Montréal is a dynamic group of companies, professionals, partners and students that take pride in improving their competences and productivity using training programs, recognized certifications, networking activities and updated information about the best practices used throughout the industry.

Representing APICS The Association for Operations Management since 1964, the Montreal APICS Chapter is one of the country's largest thanks to its 400 members working in various industrial and economic domains. Every year, the Montreal APICS Chapter organizes professional development activities such as:

  • Industrial visits
  • Annual Conference in April
  • Conferences and networking
  • Courses in operations management
  • CPIM and CSCP certification courses

The CPIM certification and the courses in production and inventory management enable the participants to gain technical and functional competences. Participants will understand how to deliver products and services Just-in-Time, streamline operations through accurate forecasting, and manage all aspects of the supply chain.

To obtain the CPIM certification, the participants will have to write the five APICS CPIM Exams which cover the following modules:
1. Basics of Supply Chain Management;
2. Master Planning of Resources;
3. Detailed Scheduling and Planning;
4. Execution and Control of Operations;
5. Strategic Management of Resources.

To obtain the CSCP certification, the participants will have to write the APICS CSCP Exam which covers the following content areas:
1. Supply Chain Management Fundamentals;
2. Building a Competitive Infrastructure;
3. Managing Customer and Supplier Relationships;
4. Using Information Technology to Enable Effective Supply Chain Management.

The Certificate in Supply Chain Management and Logistics program will provide students with a strong background knowledge that leads them towards a CPIM or CSCP designation offered by APICS, provided that the students pass the APICS examination requirements for the corresponding designation.
