Bloomsday Montreal 2012
On June 14-16, Montrealers celebrate Bloomsday, the date made famous in James Joyce's Ulysses, with an all-day roster of activities. Anyone interested in Ulysses, Joyce, or things Irish, please mark June 16 on your calendar! Festivities will be held all over the city, including McGill University, the McCord Museum, Atwater Library, and many of the city's Irish pubs.
Bloomsday 2012 Montreal's aim is to unite Montrealers with enthusiasts staging Bloomsday events in more than 60 other cities around the world.

Deep Listening Intensive with Pauline Oliveros
Deep Listening® is experiencing heightened or expanded awareness of sound, silence and sounding.
In a meditative atmosphere we will explore core concepts of improvisation. Musicians and non-musicians of all abilities may participate in the Deep Listening exercises during the intensive. All styles and abilities will be welcomed in an open exploratory circle. There will be improvisations with and without instruments.

English-language Artists in Quebec: a century of innovation and reinvention
This workshop will introduce participants to the rich history of Quebec's Anglophone artistic community - from theatre to dance to music and painting. Guy Rodgers, director of the English Language Arts Network presents this broad spectrum in an interactive format drawing on special guests, visual archives and a multitude of art works for additional exploration.

Empowering the Sandwich Generation
This interactive, hands-on workshop aims to inform, empower and support those caught in the Sandwich Generation between the diverse needs of aging parents/relatives and children. Together we will brainstorm and discuss solutions to the challenges of being part of the Sandwich Generation.
This workshop will appeal to anyone currently feeling sandwiched between the diverse needs of an aging parent/relative and growing children, as well as those professionals and volunteers working with them.
