Energy Saving Project: Lighting Retrofits

Utilities and Energy Management is implementing lighting retrofits in numerous buildings on both the downtown and Macdonald Campuses. These projects are part of McGill's Five-Year Energy Plan and a vital component of McGill's commitment to significantly reduce energy consumption by 2015.

A current example is Project 12-227 in the Brown Student Services Building, where more energy-efficient lighting will be installed and occupancy sensors will help ensure lights are on only when needed. Work on this particular project will continue from August to October, 2013.
