Camp Artemusik is folding back into the McGill Conservatory after 3 summers as an independant entity with the appointment of Peanut (a.k.a. Clément Joubert) as Director of the McGill Conservatory.
The Garage Band Camp is expanding! To better serve the increasing demand, all participants must go through an audition to be placed in three programs: "Initiation" for beginners, "Reloaded" for intermediate and "Tour" for advanced candidates. The minimum age is changed to 12 years to participate in this fast growing program.
Launch of Cinema and Percussion Camps
The Camp is held over four (instead of three) 2-week sessions on 2 sites: F.A.C.E. School and the Schulich School of Music of McGill University (formerly knowned as the Faculty of Music of McGill University).
Garage Band Tour wins the member's "Tip of the Hat" prize at the Quebec Camp Association Awards of Excellence Gala: Finalist in the development category for creating an innovative and daring program, the Garage Band Tour Program ended up winning the 2006 member's "Tip of the Hat" prize at the Quebec Camps Association Awards of Excellence Gala. Members of the Quebec Camps Association vote for the best project amongst all finalists of all categories. The Garage Band Camp Tour was chosen as the best project by the majority of Quebec Camps Association members. A heartfelt thank you to all Garage Band Campers (and their parents) as well as the staff who believed in this crazy project!!!
