Lysistrata 2014

How do you stop a war? Stage a sex strike! The 2014 McGill Classics Play is Aristophanes' classic comedy Lysistrata, in an all-new English version, featuring live jazz choruses!

Directed by Negar Banakar. Music by Liam Tucker. Choreograpy by Monica D'Agostini.

Classics Play 2013

The 2013 McGill Classics Play will be Sophocles' Philoktetes, directed by Elizabeth Ten-Hove.

Performances for this year's play will be at 8 pm (doors 7 pm) the 20-23 February, at the MAI (3680 Rue Jeanne-Mance) with an extra matinee (2 pm) on the 23rd. Tickets are $12 adults/ $8 students/seniors/QDF members.

McGill Classics Play

The 2015 McGill Classics Play is Seneca's Thyestes, directed and translated into English by Duncan McDonald, with live music composed and performed by David Oppenheim. In Seneca's gory tragedy about the cursed House of Atreus, revenge is a dish best served hot (heads and hands on the side).
