New FQRNT President
Just recently we learnt that Mrs. Sylvie Dillard stepped down as the FQRNT President after a 10 year mandate. The Government has nominated Mr. Pierre Prémont, who will take office on September 24th.
Farewell Jim!
James Smith retired last August after decades at the Institute of Parasitology, where his contributions are too long to enumerate. He took on the Liaison Officer position when the Centre was created, and his contribution, professionalism and efficiency where exceptional. Both the Centre and the Institute of Parasitology are wishing him a joyful and well earned retirement, and extend their gratitude for his contribution. Ms. Christiane Trudeau, from the Institute of Parasitology, will be replacing Jim.
Centre's New Director
Since September 1st, the Centre has a new Director, Dr. Armando Jardim of the Institute of Parasitology. Thank you Roger Prichard for stepping in as the acting Director over the past year, and good luck Armando.
