McGill’s Chem-E Car team has placed 2nd at the AIChE Northeastern Student Regional Conference competition and has qualified to compete at the National AIChE Chem-E Car Competition to be held in November in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A team of undergraduate students, Alex Gershanov, Robert Ralph, Avril Levasseur and Oren Singer, placed 1st in the category of Consulting Engineering of the Québec Engineering Competition. They will be representing McGill and the rest of Québec on the national level at the Canadian Engineering Competition which will be hosted by Memorial University in St. John's Newfoundland on March 5-8. Congrats!

McGill Chemical Engineering program ranks 15th in the world

Chemical Engineering Professor Alejandro Rey has been awarded the 2011 Canadian Society of Rheology’s Stanley George Mason Award for his unique contributions to the science and technology of complex fluids and soft matter. For more details please see McGill News.

Frank Caporuscio received the McGill Staff Award of Excellence in 2011. This award recognizes excellence in job performance by Administrative and Support staff.

TD Go Green Challenge 2011: David Morris and Omer Dor, students in the Department of Chemical Engineering at McGill, won the top prize for their proposal for the Integrated Energy and Food Greenhouse. Alejandro D. Rey was recognized with the prestigious Olaf A. Hougen visiting lectureship at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Wisconson-Madison.
