Teaching and Learning Services has created a new tool designed to help instructors make sense of students’ course evaluation comments and provide them with a framework for making decisions about appropriate next steps.

Background

McGill University values quality in the courses it offers its students. End-of-course evaluations provide valuable student feedback and are one of the ways that McGill works towards maintaining and improving the quality of courses and the student learning experience.

Numerical results of course evaluations are accessible by McGill students and academic staff (hereafter, the “McGill community”) for courses when the following two conditions are met:

Update, November 30: The issue reported below has been resolved.

We are currently experiencing an issue in which any Excel files downloaded from the Mercury system are not opening automatically through Microsoft Excel on Windows PCs.
