Both of McGill's hockey teams swept their opponents in Ottawa on Saturday. However, the two volleyball squads went down to defeat in Sherbrooke.
The No.2-ranked Montreal Carabins swept No.10-McGill 25-13, 15-23 and 25-14 in women's volleyball at Love Competition Hall, Friday. It was the third straight loss for the second-place Martlets, who dropped to 13-6 and remain tied with Laval (13-6) in a heated battle for home-court advantage in the playoffs, with one match remaining on the schedule.
The McGill University basketball and volleyball teams will both be honouring their graduating players when they host their final regular-season home games this weekend. In recognition of the graduating athletes, McGill Athletics & Recreation will be holding a "Bingo Seniors Night" during a basketball twin-bill, Saturday.
