Extended hours for new students to obtain their student cards as of August 18 at the Service Point. Students must be registered for at least one Fall term course, and need to bring their McGill ID number, valid photo ID, and the documents used to prove citizenship status.

Registration period for Fall 2017 and Winter 2018 using Minerva for all newly-admitted undergraduate students in the faculties listed below, whose highest level of education prior to registering at McGill is a French Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate or at least one year of university, or who have other academic qualifications such as Advanced Levels, Advanced Placements or CAPE which provides for advanced standing credit. Students in this category must have a classification of year 1 (U1) or higher. This category also includes Special students and Visiting students.
Deadline for web withdrawing (grade of "W") from the first half of multi-term (D1/D2) courses that started in the Summer 2017 term and end in the Fall 2017 term (no refund for D1 course; fee refund with web drop of Fall D2 course) for Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Arts (including Social Work & Religious Studies), B.A.&Sc., Continuing Studies, Education, Engineering (including Architecture), Graduate Studies, Law, Management, Music, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Science.
Registration period for all students entering the U1 year of their programs in the fall/winter 2017-2018. This excludes students in Law and most students in Continuing Studies. Continuing students’ registration for fall/winter courses will open over three days in April, and will be phased in on each of these days in half-hour increments.

For students who wish to university withdraw after the registration cancellation deadline (August 31, 2017), students may drop all courses via Minerva with full refund less $200 Registration Cancellation Fee for returning students; less registration deposit or $200 Registration Cancellation Fee, whichever is higher for new students.
