(Tentative Date) Extended hours for new students to obtain their student cards as of August 8 at the Service Point. The locations and operating hours of ID card centres on both campuses can be found on the Student Information website (www.mcgill.ca/students). Students must be registered for at least one Fall term course, and need to bring their McGill ID number, valid photo ID, and the documents used to prove citizenship status.

(Tentative Date) LAWG 110D1/D2: Integration Workshop Week (Compulsory attendance for all 1st year BCL/JD students) runs August 26 to 29, 2025.
Deadline for cancellation of registration for all new and returning students for the Fall term except Continuing Studies. (Deposit is non-refundable for new students.)

Online application opens for Fall 2026 for undergraduate Law, Medical and Dental programs as well as the Dental Residency program.

(Tentative Date) Registration period (credits restricted to 9 credits) for Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 for returning 2L students in Faculty of Law.
IMPORTANT: Returning students who fail to register in at least one course by Thursday, August 14, 2025 may continue to register after this date and until the end of the registration period, but with late registration penalties.
For students who wish to university withdraw after the registration cancellation deadline (August 31, 2025), students may drop all courses via Minerva with full refund less $200 Registration Cancellation Fee for returning students; less registration deposit or $200 Registration Cancellation Fee, whichever is higher for new students.
