This is to inform you that we have extended the deadline to submit nominations to the Principal’s Awards for Administrative and Support Staff for 2012-2013. You have until August 19th, 5:00 pm to submit your entry.
It is important now more than ever to recognize our colleagues’ exceptional contribution to the University’s goals. In these challenging times, you have no doubt seen colleagues go the extra mile to deliver on a special project. The award is about recognition but it’s also about rewarding these colleagues with a $5,000 cash prize.
Now is the time to start thinking about submitting nominations to the Principal’s Awards for Administrative and Support Staff for 2012-2013. Colleagues can present nominees in six categories – customer service, quality of work, initiative/innovation, service to the community, teamwork and sustainability – for work carried out between June 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013.

Discounts up to 10% will be applied to online purchases of Dell computers and accessories made at www.dell.ca/mpp. Dell has long been a supplier of McGill, but in April 2011 a contract was signed for the Administrative Desktop Program, awarded to Dell following a public call for tender conducted by Procurement Services.
As part of the cost-savings measures recently announced by the University, McGill today launched its 2013 Voluntary Retirement Program for eligible administrative and support staff aged 60 and over, before December 31, 2013.

On March 1, 2013 the University, with the assistance of the Pay Equity Commission, reached an agreement on pay equity maintenance with MUNACA. As a result of this agreement, some staff members within the MUNACA, SEU, M and academic employee groups, who occupy certain predominantly female job classes, may receive a pay equity adjustment. Affected staff will receive a retroactive payment covering the period since November 21, 2001.
