The newly refurbished Fitness Centre is set to open its doors on September 1. Closed since April, a new 200-square-metre mezzanine was constructed over the summer months opening up more space in one of the busiest places on campus.

Free admission is being offered to anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to any McGill basketball, hockey or volleyball home game this weekend. This kicks of a two-day food drive for the Sun Youth Community Centre, an annual initiative of the McGill Varsity Council, a group that represents all varsity athletes on campus.
The McGill University cricket club has been around, on and off, since the late 1800s, but this year for the first time, it has gained official "club sport" status on campus. The sport has historic roots and was popular before the first organized game of ice hockey in 1875. Early ice hockey goalies used cricket pads for protection.
Starting at the end of August 2009, McGill students and staff will be able to purchase a select number of Athletics and Recreation services on-line.
Since May 1, McGill staff and students have been able to reserve squash and tennis courts on-line. This new 24/7 service is easy to use and free of charge.
The Sports Complex will begin its holiday schedule December 23, 2011. Regular hours will resume January 7, 2012. Click on link to see when the building is open and closed.
Athletics On-Line Services will be unavailable from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, November 9th due to scheduled maintenance.

Please note that on-line services at the Athletics & Recreation website will be unavailable from Feb. 22 at 6 pm Feb. 23 at 10 am, due to scheduled maintenance.
