Free admission is being offered to anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to any McGill basketball, hockey or volleyball home game this weekend. This kicks of a two-day food drive for the Sun Youth Community Centre, an annual initiative of the McGill Varsity Council, a group that represents all varsity athletes on campus.
Erin Olson, an 18-year-old science freshman from Minneapolis, Minn., became the first McGill woman ever to win a provincial Triple-A title at the Quebec Fencing Federation championship, a tournament hosted by the Club d’escrime Lagardère in Montreal on Sunday.
Vincent Larochelle, a member of the McGill fencing team, is one of two current McGill University students to earn a Rhodes Scholarship.
