By Genevieve Metson (Ph.D. Natural Resource Sciences, McGill). Learn about the flow of phosphorus and how to better manage it through the body movements of 6 dancers. Phosphorus is a mineral that is essential for plant growth. It is used as a fertilizer in farm fields, but any surplus runs off into nearby rivers and streams with disastrous results for aquatic life. Followed by the documentary film Pina (2011) about the contemporary dance choreographer Pina Bausch.

The week honours the many Indigenous cultures across the country including First Nations, Métis and Inuit. The week also offers an opportunity to collaborate with community partners and draws active participation from McGill students, faculty and staff.   The week is organized by the Social Equity and Diversity Education Office at McGill University.

On September 18-19, 2014, the American Bar Association's Forum on Air and Space Law will hold its 2014 Annual Conference at the Westin Hotel in Old Montreal. This year's Conference will feature a series of panels that will provide valuable overviews and updates concerning matters of critical importance to the aviation and aerospace industries. The panel topics will include consumer rights, labor law issues, divergent interpretations of the Warsaw/Montreal Conventions, international aviation traffic rights, space law developments, and global competition law issues.
