The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montréal (CIRM) is now under bi-faculty leadership! In addition to its original affiliation with the Faculty of Arts, CIRM is now attached to the Faculty of Engineering at McGill University. Nik Luka, CIRM Interim Director from 2020 to 2021, joins Pascal Brissette at the head of the centre. This change was made possible with the collaboration of Deans Mary Hunter and Jim Nicell.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Dr. Gustavo Turecki as Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, effective March 1, 2015. Dr. Turecki succeeds Dr. Mimi Israël, who led the department with great distinction since 2007. We take this opportunity to offer our sincere thanks to Dr. Israël for her outstanding leadership throughout her term, and we wish her continued success.

The latest  recipient of  RUIS McGill's Leadership Excellence Award is Jacques Boissonneault, Director-general of l’Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

"Jacques Boissonneault is an exceptional person who has greatly contirbuted to the region and the agence de la santé et les services en santé et services sociaux. We are very honoured to give him this award. It is a well-deserved recognition," said Dr. David Eidelman, RUIS McGill president and Vice-principal (Health Affairs), and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.
