A message from Principal Heather Munroe-Blum Dear members of the McGill community, I will be holding a webcast at 4 p.m. on April 19, 2012 to answer questions from members of the McGill community. I invite you to join me. If you can’t watch the webcast live, it will be recorded and made available on the blog as soon as possible.
Please note that members of the University community who would like to observe today’s Senate meeting may do so via a live feed broadcast in the auditorium of the Redpath Museum.
Please note that tomorrow’s Senate discussion of the Jutras Report will be live-streamed on the web to allow more people to observe the discussion. The meeting begins at 2:30 p.m. and the discussion is scheduled early in the agenda.
During the Nov. 29 webcast, Principal Heather Munroe-Blum fielded questions on a wide range of topics. She answered about 20 of your questions before time ran out, but you asked lots more, and the Principal's Office is working with units across the University to give you answers.
I have received today Dean Jutras’ Report on the Events of November 10, 2011 – the Report is being released to the McGill community for comment and reaction. The Report, attached, can also be viewed at www.mcgill.ca/dean-jutras-report.
Message from Michael Di Grappa, Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance) We are happy to report that the conciliator has called both sides back to the bargaining table this Friday, November 25. We will keep you up to date on developments as we are able.
I have heard from many of you since the troubling events of November 10 on our downtown campus. Upset, anger, and concerns have been expressed. There is a worry that McGill is moving away from being an open, tolerant and safe environment.
