Maintenance on the wired network of the 4th floor of 740 Penfield - Genome Building will be performed on Friday, January 16 starting at 7:30 a.m. and lasting approximately 30 minutes. During this time wired users will not have network access.
Maintenance on the Wireless network will be performed on Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14 starting at 5:00 a.m. and lasting around two hours. During this time wireless users at the downtown campus, including Residences, may experience some connectivity issues for around 5 minutes.
Maintenance to the McConnell Engineering Building network system will take place from the 20-23 of December. There will be some disruption of network connectivity for the Ground and Second floors during this period. Affected users have already been alerted.
Microsoft has released an advisory warning of a current vulnerability in IE 7 that could allow the remote execution of malicious code. Currently no patch is available to address this. Proposed temporary workarounds include using a different browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.) or changing your Internet Explorer settings.
