Problem with emails to Windows Live and hotmail servers

Emails sent from McGill servers to Windows Live and hotmail servers during the night of May 12 to May 13 may have been bounced.

Maintenance on EVault, Tuesday, May 12, 6-7pm

Scheduled maintenance of the EVault (email archiving solution) service will occur on Tuesday, May 12, at 6PM and will last for approximately one hour. Items archived in EVault will not be accessible during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Delayed delivery of email from external addresses

Emails sent to McGill Exchange servers from external addresses may experinece delivery delays, when server limits are reached.

New Design for IT Services Page

The IT Services page has been redesigned. The new page now displays current IT promotions and news at the top, and has IT Announcements and Events listed along the right side. EVault (email archiving solution) server currently unavailable

The McGill EVault (email archiving solution) server is currently experiencing some technical issues. As a result, access to archived email will be intermittent. Technicians are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

e-Bills unavailable on Minerva during system maintenance

Due to system maintenance, students will be not be able to view their e-bills on Minerva from 8am, Sunday May 3, to 8 am, Monday May 4 at the latest, although service may be restored earlier if maintenance is completed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

@math.mcgill.ca users experiencing delays in receiving email

Select Entourage users experiencing issues with Exchange email

Some staff members using Entourage to access their McGill Exchange email server may be unable to synchronize their email. If affected, users will have to access their email through Outlook Web Access (OWA). Functionality will be restored as of 11pm this evening, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Problems with myMcGill portal

Some users may be experiencing errors within the myMcGill portal. Error messages include "session expired" and "no valid session active" in lieu of portlet links. Signing in several times in a row may resolve the issue. We are currently working to resolve this issue and apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, alternative links to services are available.

Problems signing into myMcGill portal

There are currently intermittent problems signing into the myMcGill portal. You may receive an error message that you have entered an incorrect Username or Password, even though you entered them correctly. Please try to sign in again (you may need to do this 3 or 4 times). It should work eventually. We are currently working to resolve this issue and apologize for the inconvenience.

myMcGill portal upgrade

IT Services has put in place a new high-availability myMcGill portal. Using a more robust server architecture, the myMcGill portal should experience fewer down times during peak periods of heavy traffic.
