The IT Services page has been redesigned. The new page now displays current IT promotions and news at the top, and has IT Announcements and Events listed along the right side. In the main body of the page, each service category expands to list the services within. Check it out and let us know what you think by emailing email@example.com.
The McGill EVault (email archiving solution) server is currently experiencing some technical issues. As a result, access to archived email will be intermittent. Technicians are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Due to system maintenance, students will be not be able to view their e-bills on Minerva from 8am, Sunday May 3, to 8 am, Monday May 4 at the latest, although service may be restored earlier if maintenance is completed. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Email sent to @math.mcgill.ca users as of 1:55pm, Thursday, April 30, is being delayed. No email is lost, and it will be delivered once the mail server is functioning properly. Technicians are working to resolve the issue, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Some staff members using Entourage to access their McGill Exchange email server may be unable to synchronize their email. If affected, users will have to access their email through Outlook Web Access (OWA). Functionality will be restored as of 11pm this evening, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Some users may be experiencing errors within the myMcGill portal. Error messages include "session expired" and "no valid session active" in lieu of portlet links. Signing in several times in a row may resolve the issue. We are currently working to resolve this issue and apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, alternative links to services are available.
There are currently intermittent problems signing into the myMcGill portal. You may receive an error message that you have entered an incorrect Username or Password, even though you entered them correctly. Please try to sign in again (you may need to do this 3 or 4 times). It should work eventually. We are currently working to resolve this issue and apologize for the inconvenience.
IT Services has put in place a new high-availability myMcGill portal. Using a more robust server architecture, the myMcGill portal should experience fewer down times during peak periods of heavy traffic.
