Banner Client users should not install SP2 for Windows XP

It has been reported that the Banner Client data extract function does not work when users install Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. Because no patch or other workaround has been supplied yet, automatic deployment of the service pack has been blocked on all machines of ICS customers. Banner users should not install the service manually.

Staff Development: Fall 2004 workshop calendar now online

Year 1 undergraduate registration

Minerva opens registration for the 2004-2005 academic year to all newly admitted undergraduate students entering Year 1 (except those in Continuing Education) at 8 am on Tuesday, August 3, 2004. (Year 1 includes only those whose highest level of education is CEGEP, French Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate or at least one year of university.)

McGill's 2004-2005 operating budget

McGill environmental project awarded prize

The Canadian Association of Business Officers (CAUBO), who promote the professional and effective management of the administrative, financial and business affairs of Canadian universities, awarded the Quality and Productivity Awards Quebec regional prize to McGill University for its Radioisotope Tracking System (RTS), developed by the Waste Management Program group.

Redefining green at McGill

In May 2004, the Senate Committee on Physical Development (SCPD) unanimously adopted a resolution to create a Task Force at McGill University to develop a framework for recommending to the SCPD revisions to McGill's building design standards to include "green building standards."
