The Centre for University Teaching and Learning (CUTL) will become Teaching and Learning Services (TLS). The TLS will work on academic development at all levels: instructional, organizational, professional and personal. The TLS will administer the McGill Teaching and Learning Improvement Fund (formerly the Royal Bank Fund), and collaborate with departmental, faculty and University administrators and support units, as well as individual teaching staff, to support, develop and improve teaching at McGill. It will be headed by an academic director, reporting directly to the Deputy Provost and CIO. Profs. Lynn McAlpine and Cynthia Weston will alternate interim directorship until June 2005, when a new director will be appointed.

It has been reported that the Banner Client data extract function does not work when users install Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. Because no patch or other workaround has been supplied yet, automatic deployment of the service pack has been blocked on all machines of ICS customers. Banner users should not install the service manually.
