Dear Members of the McGill Community, I write to inform you that Ms. Sylvia Franke, McGill’s Chief Information Officer (CIO), has decided to leave the University effective 31 December 2009 in order to pursue new opportunities in higher education administration.
Around noon on Tuesday, August 11, a gas main was inadvertently ruptured in the course of construction work near the corner of University and Sherbrooke Streets. The pipe was sealed within an hour and people were shortly thereafter allowed to proceed back into the affected buildings. The emergency situation is over.

We are pleased to announce that Xerox Canada has been selected to provide a print management solution for McGill University. The first phase of this solution, scheduled for the month of August, involves replacing the current Canon departmental copier fleet with Xerox’s multifunctional devices (MFDS). Detailed information regarding the upcoming installation of these devices will follow.

Online debit and credit card payments of McGill application fees will not be able to be processed through Minerva for a 20 minute period on Sunday, July 12, between 4:00 to 5:30am. Service will be restored as soon as maintenance is completed. We apologize for any inconvenience.
