During the MUNACA labour dispute, McGill has up a website at www.mcgill.ca/students/operating-hours where you can find up-to-date operating hours for some 40 student services and units around McGill.

Message to the McGill community: Now that the strike has begun

on behalf of Michael Di Grappa, Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance) The McGill University Non-academic Certified Association (MUNACA) began a general strike at 6 a.m. this morning. MUNACA represents many of the clerical workers, as well as lab technicians and other support staff who work at McGill. It is unfortunate that we have been unable to agree on terms for a new contract.

Norwegian tragedy

As more details come to light on the bombing and shootings that killed 76 people in Norway on Friday, some members of the McGill community may be concerned about loved ones, friends or colleagues who may have been affected by this tragedy. uPrint – coming soon!

In 2009, McGill replaced its fleet of printers and copiers with multifunctional devices (MFDs) from Xerox as a first step toward the launch of a centrally managed print, copy, fax and scan service called uPrint. Now, we are launching the second and final phase to provide you with the full range of features.

Wilson Hall

Please note that the sidewalk in front of Wilson Hall (3506 University St.) has been cordoned off and the University St. exit/entrance to the building has been closed for the next few days. A stucco/cement coating on an upper portion of the building's facade is old, brittle and becoming unstable. The University will have a contractor on site to remove this material before the end of the week. The

McGill University reappoints Manfredi as Dean of Arts

Professor Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of McGill University, is delighted to announce that the Board of Governors has approved the reappointment of Prof. Christopher P. Manfredi as Dean of Arts for a second five-year term. The reappointment is effective July 1, 2011.

The assailant Montreal police have been seeking following incidents of assault and sexual assault that occurred in the Milton-Parc community to the east of the downtown campus between Thursday, April 21, and Friday, April 22, is still at large.
