The voters have spoken: Greatest McGillians are Chang, Cohen and Rutherford

After nearly 60,000 votes and months of sometimes furious debate, the results are in for the Greatest McGillians contest. First conciliation meeting and others scheduled until October 26

On September 8, McGill’s negotiating committee met with the government-appointed conciliator. During this first session, the conciliator decided that both parties should discuss all unresolved issues, which should be grouped under different categories. The parties agreed to discuss some 33 issues.

Wilson Hall reopens

Wilson Hall, 3506 University Street, has reopened this afternoon following flooding Thursday evening caused by a burst pump in the pumping station on Dr. Penfield Avenue. While some damage occurred on the building's lower level to aid in the pumping of water, this will be repaired in due course. Please click on title above for full announcement.

To the McGill community: Conciliation begins today

On behalf of Michael Di Grappa, Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance) McGill and MUNACA are at the bargaining table today, with the assistance of a conciliator appointed by the Government of Quebec. This is the first of what could be a number of conciliation meetings, with the goal of reaching a negotiated settlement in MUNACA’s current strike.

Message to the McGill community: Now that the strike has begun

on behalf of Michael Di Grappa, Vice-Principal (Administration and Finance) The McGill University Non-academic Certified Association (MUNACA) began a general strike at 6 a.m. this morning. MUNACA represents many of the clerical workers, as well as lab technicians and other support staff who work at McGill. It is unfortunate that we have been unable to agree on terms for a new contract.

uPrint – coming soon!

In 2009, McGill replaced its fleet of printers and copiers with multifunctional devices (MFDs) from Xerox as a first step toward the launch of a centrally managed print, copy, fax and scan service called uPrint. Now, we are launching the second and final phase to provide you with the full range of features.

Wilson Hall

Please note that the sidewalk in front of Wilson Hall (3506 University St.) has been cordoned off and the University St. exit/entrance to the building has been closed for the next few days. A stucco/cement coating on an upper portion of the building's facade is old, brittle and becoming unstable. The University will have a contractor on site to remove this material before the end of the week. The
