Trial subscriptions for materials properties databases

The Library has trial access until December 22 to the following databases: Aerospace Structural Metals Database, Microelectronic Packaging Materials Database, Thermphysical Properties of Matter Database. These can be accessed through http://cindasdata.com/Applications.

Extended study hours begin September 29 at Schulich Library of Science and Engineering

Beginning September 29, 2008, Schulich Library will be opened for extended study hours (no services) for users with a valid McGill photo ID card: Monday to Thursday until 2:45am; Friday until 10:45pm; Saturday and Sunday until 11:45pm. Extended study hours at Schulich Library of Science and Engineering are made possible through the financial assistance of the SSMU Library Improvement Fund.

Wiley InterScience unavailable Saturday, June 28 - Sunday, June 29

Wiley InterScience will go offline temporarily from 5:00 am on Saturday, June 28 until Sunday, June 29 at 9:00 pm. This is due to the migration of content being carried as part of the merger of Blackwell Synergy into Wiley InterScience.

Blackwell Synergy merging into Wiley InterScience June 30

As of Monday, June 30, 2008, all Blackwell Synergy journal content - including all full-text HTML and PDF versions of articles from current issues, backfiles, and issues published online before print - will be incorporated into Wiley InterScience.

Extended study until 2:45am 7 nights per week at Schulich Library of Science and Engineering

Schulich Library of Science and Engineering will be open for study until 2:45am, 7 nights per week, from April 7 until April 29, 2008. Access to the library after service hours is restricted to users with valid McGill photo ID cards. Extended study hours in Schulich Library of Science and Engineering, are brought to you through the financial assistance of the SSMU Library Improvement Fund.

Get Excel tips at Schulich Library of Science and Engineering

February 11-14, come meet the Student Navigational Assistants in the Schulich Library at 7:00 p.m. in Room 413. They will be available to offer quick tips on using Excel and to answer questions on how they can help you when you are working on the computers in the Schulich Library.
