The 2013 edition of the Nursing Explorations Series is entitled "Strengths-Based Nursing: Practice, Education and Leadership" and will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Palais des congrès, 7th floor. Keynote Speakers
I am very proud and pleased to announce that the Ingram School of Nursing has received confirmation from the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN)’s Board of Accreditation that our Direct Entry Master of Science (Applied) program in Nursing has been awarded a full 7-year accreditation. This entry-to-practice Master’s program is the only one of its kind in Canada. It has a 35 year history of graduating an exemplary cadre of nurses who have taken on leadership roles as clinicians, researchers, educators, and administrators in the profession.
Incoming (first year) students enrolled in Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology are required to attend the Interprofessional Education workshop. Attendance is for one of the two dates only and will be communicated in the first week of class. As of December 28th, McGill’s license of Virus Barrier X will expire. Replacing it is Trend Micro’s Smart Surfing for Mac. Its features include antivirus, antispyware and web threat protection; additionally, it has built in parental controls, a spam blocker and a two-way firewall.
Please note that the sidewalk in front of Wilson Hall (3506 University St.) has been cordoned off and the University St. exit/entrance to the building has been closed for the next few days. A stucco/cement coating on an upper portion of the building's facade is old, brittle and becoming unstable. The University will have a contractor on site to remove this material before the end of the week. The

As a result of an agreement with the Department of Psychology, Nursing students should take PSYC 204 in the winter session. The School of Nursing will not request spaces for our students in the Fall.
The School of Nursing has been notified of technical difficulties that may cause problems for Nursing students trying to register. This matter is being addressed and should be resolved soon.
It is not too late for students to be vaccinated against the Influenza. Student Health Services (SHS) will have a first-come-first-serve clinic (no appointment needed) on Friday January 21st from 10:00-15:30 on the 4th floor of SHS clinic, 3600 McTavish.
All undergraduate Nursing students who registered for PHGY 210 for Winter 2011 must drop out of the present section and register for CRN 10244 Section 005, before Dec. 2, 2010.
