In what is probably a first for Canada, Dalhousie University in Halifax banned smoking on all university property. Nicotine fiends will now have to go to city-owned property, such as a sidewalk, for a puff.
You can see splendid examples of Conus gloriamaris at the Redpath Museum, plus many other even more spectacular shells, thanks to the generosity of Abe Levine, who donated his collection to the museum.
